Itinerary
Day 1 Arrive SevilleLocated deep in southern Spain, Seville can be easily reached via its international airport. Alternatively, an efficient train service connects Seville to Madrid (2hrs30min) or Jerez (1hr30min).
As one of Spain’s most theatrical cities, Seville boasts lively plazas, exquisite Moorish architecture and a flamenco dynasty dating back to the 19th century—the perfect introduction to Andalucian culture!

In the heart of Seville, close to the famous monuments and shopping areas. Enjoy the Andalusian-style whitewashed hotel, visit the traditional tapas restaurant and bar with a chic terrace. The hotel also offers a rooftop balcony with a pool and old town views.

This modern hotel overlooks Seville’s Plaza de Armas Square. Just 200 yards from Seville Bus Station, it is a 15-minute walk from the cathedral and Giralda. Its rooftop pool offers superb city views. And on the 5th floor there’s a gym as well as a fabulous terrace where you can enjoy views of the 1992 World Exposition Center. It’s the ideal spot for a sunset cocktail. The spacious restaurant offers a traditional Spanish cuisine and a varied Antiox breakfast buffet, which includes a range of healthy options.
The easy-to-navigate cycle path network is Spain’s most cycle-friendly city. This morning, you'll make your way Plaza de Santa Cruz to collect your bike and join a small group guided cycle tour that will lead you through many of Seville’s major sights. These include the UNESCO Moorish Palace of Kings ‘The Alcazar’ and the Giralda Tower. In the early afternoon, you may continue exploring Seville on bike, or ride back to your hotel to store your bike and relax. Later, perhaps venture out on foot to explore the narrow cobbled lanes of the old quarter on foot and discover the many tapas bars before the city comes to life with the sound of Flamenco.Â

Following the River Guadiaria, cycle out of Seville and across classic rolling Andalucian countryside as you pedal east to the white village of Carmona and your first Parador hotel. A typical Moorish town, Carmona boasts a 15th-century church with Baroque towers where you can visit the ’Puerta de Sevilla’ (doors of Seville), which date back to the 3rd century constructed by the Carthaginians.
Ascent/Descent: 311m/80m (1020ft/262ft)

Relax after your day in the saddle in either the hotel sauna or with a cerveza on the hotel terrace. Complete with swimming pool, the historic hotel is a superb way to finish your first ride into the Andalucian countryside.

The historical hotel is an 8 minute walk from Moorish Real Alcázar de Sevilla and is located near the Catedral de Sevilla and the Plaza de España. The rooms are interconnected to each other through more than 40 patios, gardens, tunnels and labyrinthine alleyways. They offer services such as a swimming pool, parking, and a spa with hot and cold water pools, turkish and roman pools and massages. All the hotel rooms are decorated with traditional antique furniture and décor and french doors. The rooms are equipped with wifi, air conditioning, a TV and beautiful views.
Cycle south from Carmona across the fertile plains of AndalucÃa as you pedal through fields of olives and sunflowers. On arrival at your stylish country hacienda, you can relax poolside amongst the extensive peaceful gardens.
Ascent/Descent: 334m/316m (1095ft/1036ft)

Nestled in a typical Pueblo Blanco, or 'White Town', between Seville and Ronda, the Hotel Andalou Hotel offers a fully immersive Andalusian experience with swimming pool and bar.
Leaving Montellano, the terrain begins to undulate as you cycle across the foothills of the Grazalema Mountains. Today, your destination is the hilltop town of Arocs de la Frontera, set atop a limestone ridge. Before heading to your Parador hotel, you can explore the labyrinth of lanes that lead to the castle of Arcos and a spectacular viewpoint across the rolling plains below.
Ascent/Descent: 362m/684m (1840ft/2241ft)

Perched above the Guadalete River, this former court of law is perfectly located for exploring the narrow streets of Arcos. From the terrace of your Parador, relax with a chilled glass of wine and enjoy far reaching views across the rolling Andlucian plains below.
Today ride from Arcos into the heart of Spain’s sherry wine country, Jerez de la Frontera. Bursting with Andalusian charm, Jerez’s streets are peppered with scores of Sherry Bodegas, including the famous ‘Tio Pepe’ and ‘La Ina’, which provide daily tasting experiences for around €10 per person. Later into the evening, discover the age-old tapas bars serving plates of local alchahofas, rabo de toro and espárrago.
Ascent/Descent: 234m/364m (767ft/1194ft)

Tryp Jerez Hotel offers modern rooms in the centre of Jerez de la Frontera, famous for its sherry. Set in an impressive classical building, it is surrounded by attractive gardens with orange and palm trees.

This hotel is set in a traditional noble house in the centre of Jerez, surrounded by gardens. Located just off Plaza del Caballo, the Villa Jerez is within walking distance of most of the important monuments of this sunny Andalusian city. Here you can enjoy the steam bath or gym before taking a refreshing dip in the swimming pool. You can also choose to relax with a massage before enjoying a meal in the hotel’s restaurant or cafeteria.
The last ride of the week heads to the coastline and Spain’s oldest settlement, Cadiz. The old town of Cadiz remains much as it was during the 18th century ‘Golden-Era’ with sailor’s alleyways, grand plazas and turreted houses. From here, you can head to the beach, dine on local seafood dishes or take a refreshing dip before relaxing at your beachfront Parador hotel.
Ascent/Descent: 598m/641m (1965ft/2103ft)

Only a few steps from the Caleta Beach, this is a modern twist on a traditional Parador, boasts a spa, pool and tapas bar—perfect for a final evening of rest and relaxation for cycling legs!
Depending on your onward travel plans, you may have time to explore Cadiz further. The central train station has regular train services to Jerez (30mins) and Seville (1hr30min) and high-speed services to Madrid (3-4hrs).

Other Information
Is it for me?The tour is graded moderate and you will cycle between 49-70km (30-43mi) per day across the plains and rolling terrain of AndalucÃa. By day explore Moorish cities and quintessential white villages, fueling each ride on tasty local tapas. In the late afternoon sun, relax poolside at your historic hotel or hacienda - the perfect Andalucian experience after an active day in saddle. We highly recommend hiring an E-bike for this tour due to the longer distances and undulating terrain, as they offer a boost on the hills when the legs need a little help. It also means you'll have more time to take in the sites, take long lunches and enjoy a well-deserved beverage at the end of your ride. You should however still be comfortable with long days of cycling, even with an E bike.
Slower Adventures | Where walking and cycling meet easy-going exploring, our Slower Adventures are the perfect combination. Most days are filled with picturesque journeys with some free time to dive into the destination and experience the people, local food and culture as you go.
Leisure Cycling | Leisure Cycling
Solo Travellers
The minimum age for this tour is: 16 Years
This tour is graded moderate, however daily distances are on the longer side ranging from 49-70km (30-43mi) and you can expect 3 - 4 ascents per day. The cycling route follows a combination of cycle paths (about 10% of the route), quiet country roads (about 70% of the route), stretches of hilly rolling terrain and busier routes when approaching and departing towns and cities. Much of the tour is on tarmac but on some days there are significant sections of dirt road (about 17% of the tour) that may at times be sandy or have potholes. The route should be manageable for most regular cyclists on a standard bike or for those with a good level of fitness and some long-distance cycling experience choosing to upgrade to an E bike for a bit of an assist. Drivers in Spain are quite respectful of cyclists but do take care and follow all applicable road rules.
Each evening will be spent in a 4* hotel, Parador hotel or hacienda. We will always try and accommodate you at the locations detailed below, but on occasion, especially during peak season, we use an alternate accommodation.Â
Single Rooms & Solo Cyclists
Single rooms are available and a single supplement is payable. This trip is also available to solo cyclists, subject to a supplementary payment.
Meals
Breakfast is included each day at your hotel and usually consists of fresh pastries, breads, fruits, yogurts, cheeses, meats and granola. Lunches and dinners are not included. As you will be staying in the heart of each village or town, there are extensive cafes and restaurants to choose from. Do note that lunches are served from around 2:00PM to 4:00PM and are the heaviest meal of the day, followed by a late afternoon 'siesta' when many shops, restaurants and cafes close. Dinners are lighter and typically not served until 9:00PM. We suggest a hearty late lunch and tapas in the early evening instead if you do not wish to dine late.
If you have special dietary requirements do let us know at the time of booking.Â

As this trip is graded moderate with daily distances of 35 km—68 km this is superb trip for active travellers that enjoy the challenge of a rolling terrain to reach historic sights and mouthwateringly good food. You will encounter some stretches of shallow hills, but these usually dont last for too long. Its a good idea to get out on your bike for a couple of consecutive days in the lead up to your holiday so you get used to riding back to back days. Each day there are plenty opportunities to stop for coffee in village plazas, visit historic sights and absorb the classic Andalucian countryside.
Your bags will be transferred between your accommodation. Just leave them at the reception at your hotel in the morning and they will be picked up and taken to the next overnight stop. Please limit your luggage to one bag per person of no more than 20kgs.
