    The complete Coast to Coast hike typically takes 14–18 days, depending on your itinerary and pace. Shorter itineraries are available for hikers with limited time.

    If I decide to do half of the Coast to Coast path at a time, which one should I do first? 
    The west section offers spectacular views but is tougher, with more ascent and rougher terrain. The east section is scenic and slightly easier, heading towards the coast. Some hikers do the east first to build fitness and get familiar with the route, while others start with the west section to follow the traditional routing experience.

    How do I get to the start of the Coast to Coast trail?
    The closest airports are Manchester and Newcastle. From both airports, travel time by train is approx. 4hrs to St Bees, where the trail starts. From central London, the train takes approx. 5.5hrs with a changeover.

    What is the best time to hike the Coast to Coast trail?
    The best time for a Coast to Coast England walking tour is May - Sept. when the weather is milder, and the trail is at its most beautiful. Early booking is essential, especially during peak season.
